Quick review of 2008

It's been a big year for us.

In May we moved to the beach where we knew NO ONE. Very exciting and a little scary.
Braxton was accepted into the school's yr 3-4 basketball team even though he was only yr 2. He was by far the smallest kid in the league and his team won the finals :)

He's the one doing the peace signs :)

In August their daddy moved away so they don't get to see him every weekend anymore, only during school holidays which is really dum for them :(

Also in August we had an amazing trip (all expenses paid) to the South Island (NZ). It was truly a trip of a lifetime! Here are a couple of pictures....

That's me on the end of a bungy cord....NEVER AGAIN

Charly and Braxton on the tobbogan - they LOVED it!

And ofcourse, Charly's angel .... get it?

Charly girl also turned five while we were away and started school a little while later. She has settled in REALLY well and has a new best friend called Gemma who just arrived from England.

Christmas was a success. These kids were so good all year Santa rewarded them :)
We had a nice morning at home together, then we went Christmas Carolling at an old folks home (when I told Brax that we were gonna go and sing to old people he got all excited and said, "yay we get to see Nana & Grandad!" ha ha ha ).

In the afternoon the cousins came over and we went to extended family/friends for dinner. It was awesome. WAAAAY too much food, but a beautiful view right on the water front with heaps of kids and heaps of things to play with.

Christmas day was sunny and beautiful. And a few days later it rained. My wee darlings were s'possed to be cleaning their rooms but instead I busted them jumping in puddles and using the hose to increase the puddle :) Charly went crazy. She loved it even more when Brax drenched her with the hose.

Well that brings us to 2009. The kids are in Wellington with their dad. I spent New Year's Eve singing on karaoke and laughing too much with my new mates here in Papamoa.
It'll be a great year.
